Weak Made Strong: The New Is Better

LEGALISM IS JESUS + (PLUS)   THE GOSPEL IS JESUS . (PERIOD)

 2 COR 3:1-3

TRUTH: THERE IS A GREATER POWER IN THE SPIRIT’S WORK THAN IN THE LAW.

PRACTICE: I SURRENDER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT’S WORK IN MY LIFE AND RESIST TRYING TO MANAGE HIS WORK.

2 COR 3:4-6

TRUTH: THE NEW COVENANT IS A PROMISE OF PERMANENT SALVATION AND COMPLETE FORGIVENESS.

PRACTICE: I DON’T NEED TO REMIND GOD OF SINS THAT HE HAS FORGIVEN ME OF IN MY LIFE. I AM FULLY PARDONED.

2 COR 3:7-11 Exodus 34:29-35 

TRUTH: Permanent glory is better than passing glory.

PRACTICE: I have the permanent glory of God in my life. I can live in assurance and security, not fear!

2 COR 3:12-16 IN THE OLD TESTAMENT GOD HAD A TEMPLE FOR HIS PEOPLE, BUT NOW HE HAS A PEOPLE FOR HIS TEMPLE   

TRUTH: God’s glory is now permanently placed in a Christian. 

PRACTICE: God’s glory is now within me, there’s no veil, and with such a hope I am very bold before God and others.

2 COR 3:17-18

TRUTH: The way we become more like Christ is looking at Christ.

PRACTICE: The Holy Spirit frees me to grow increasingly into the glory of Jesus.
