We believe that Worship is our response to God, personally and corporately, for who He is and for the great things that He has done. We desire to worship God personally by living lives that are pleasing to God (Romans 12:1), by reading and meditating upon, His Word, and through constant prayer (1 Timothy 2:1-4).
One of the main ways that we worship corporately is through music. This happens during our Gatherings every Sunday morning in the Life Center. Although music is not worship in and of itself, it is commanded by God, demonstrated throughout the Bible (Psalm 95:1, Psalm 96:2, Psalm 98:4, Psalm 105:2, I Chronicles 15-16, Ephesians 5:19-20), and is a powerful way to approach God.
Our Worship Collective is made up of anyone who serves on one of our Worship Leading Platforms: Band, Worship Leaders, Choir, Creative, Production, Orchestra. If you currently serve or are interested in serving either on stage or behind-the-scenes, Collective Nights are for you! Join us each month as we eat together, worship, and hear vision and encouragement from our leaders at Highland and special guests.
Contact Jared Billups for more information.
Collective Nights are postponed until further notice.
Worship Choir is made up of men, women, and even kids, and leads in all of our Worship Gatherings each week. Joining the choir is so easy! Simply come up on a Sunday morning and try it out, then let us know if you're interested in singing with us consistently. From there, we will add you to our mailing list and send you the songs each week to practice on your own. We ask our choir to sing in 2 out of 3 Gatherings on Sundays.

Our mission on the Production Team is to reinforce the Gospel being preached from Highland and make that message available to as many people as possible. There are several ways you can connect and serve alongside us to make this happen.
Camera Operators make sure our pastors' and worship leaders' message gets recorded. Video Switchers switches between our graphics and camera sources and starts and stops the stream to the web. Lighting Operators make sure all of our light cues happen during the Gathering when we want them to. Pro Presenter Operator displays the lyrics and message notes so the congregation can sing and follow along. Finally, our two Audio Technician positions support the band and make sure the Gospel is heard clearly in our live Gatherings and our live stream.
If you want to learn more about how you can serve on the Production Team, fill out this interest form or contact Zach Elkins.
If you are interested in serving on our Worship Team (Band or Worship Leaders), you can begin the process by filling out an Audition Form. After reviewing your form, our staff will get back to you with some helpful information and next steps.
We currently accept auditions for the following instruments only: Drums, Bass, Electric Guitar, Piano/Keys, and Cello.
Our Highland Orchestra joins our Worship Team a couple of times each semester. If you are interested in serving in our Orchestra or receiving some more information, please email Jacki Grimes.
