Running to the Boat

We are runners…from Pain, Shame, God
God is a pursuer…Of Prodigals, The Lost, His Glory

Genesis 3:8-9 The man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord but the Lord called out and said, “Where are you?”

Isaiah 53:6  We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; / and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

Romans 5:8 While we were still yet sinners, God demonstrated His love as Christ died for us.

JONAH 1:1-3

1) OBEYING GOD 50% is actually DISOBEYING GOD 100%.

2) How much have you paid in time, effort, money, and life itself in running away from God?

3) There’s always a boat.

Jonah 1:4-6

4) As you run away from God, YOUR LIFE DOESN’T go up, IT GOES down. 

JONAH 1:7-12

5) What do you do if you’re running from God? Face Him, Fear Him, Confess to Him

JONAH 1:13-17

6) It’s easy to run from God, it’s just impossible to outrun him.
