COLOSSIANS 1:24-2:5
24 Because the Head of the church joyfully suffered, we, the body, joyfully suffer on His behalf that the world might see Christ in us.
SIX MARKERS OF FAITHFUL MINISTRY
1) Ministry comes from God, to us, for others. 25
2) Ministry is making Christ fully known. 25b-26
3) Ministry is ordained by God for a particular time. 26
4) Ministry is for every nation, people, and tribe. 27
5) Ministry is done through proclaiming, warning, and teaching with wisdom. 28
6) The end goal of ministry is to present everyone mature in Christ. 28b
Ministry is not measured by efficiency; it is measured by faithfulness.
29 No amount of our toil can make dead people alive, but Christ’s power through us can.
TWO RESULTS OF FAITHFUL MINISTRY
1) Believers are encouraged in Christ. 2:1-2a
2) Believers are grounded in Christ. 2b-5
