Highland's Young Adult Ministry exists to equip, encourage, and provide opportunities for young adults in Waco to engage in authentic relationships and serve as part of the body of Christ.

Groups

Connection Groups (CGs) are a great place to find community and do life with one another in a small group setting. CGs are a place for accountability, prayer, and the reading of Scripture. We have several CGs serving Highland's young adults. We offer gender-specific and young couple groups. Find a list of Young Adult Connection Groups HERE.

(Co-Ed, 20’s to 30’s) Young Adult Bible Fellowship seeks to achieve Biblical and relational depth, as we believe both of these can and should be found in the person of Jesus Christ and His Church. 


Soul Care Groups provide a safe, discreet, intentional, and compassionate environment for people who are struggling with sin and the effects of sin to seek healing. In these groups, men and women share their struggles with each other and with God, turning to Christ for strength and healing which is found through His Spirit and by His Word. Soul Care Groups meet on Thursdays, from 6:30-8:30pm, beginning with a time of worship, teaching and testimony in the Chapel. You can register for HERE.

The cost for materials is based on the class attended. Scholarships are available based on need.

Worship nights

Once-a-month, we gather as young adults for worship, prayer, and teaching. It's a great place to connect and build relationships with other young adults in the community. For the summer, join us for “Summer in the Round” at 7pm in the Chapel (3014 Trice Ave), and we will gather at 6pm for prayer beforehand in room C1.

Fellowship

Highland's Young Adult Ministry has monthly fellowship nights intended to establish and deepen community. Float the River

The Young Adults are headed south on Sunday, August 2nd to float the river together! We'll load in the Highland vehicles and head to the Comal River at 10am (after we worship at the 8:40am gathering) and aim to be back after dinner. Cost is $25, and your cost will cover your tube rental and gas for the vehicles used to get us there.

Waco Staycation Retreat

The Young Adults are having our second-ever retreat on October 9-10, 2026. We'll be at Highland and around Waco with you staying in the comfort of your own bed all weekend. We will go from 6pm Friday till 6pm Saturday! It'll be a great weekend of fun activities around Waco, worshipping at Highland, and drawing closer to Jesus together.
