Isaiah 9

[6] For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. [7] Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, Kingdom and Character

Luke 1

[30] And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you
have found favor with God. [31] And behold, you will conceive in
your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.
[32] He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.
And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David,
[33] and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his
kingdom there will be no end.” (ESV)

He Treats us as Sons not Subjects

2 Corinthians 8:9

[9] For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though
he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by
his poverty might become rich.

Philippians 2

[4] Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to
the interests of others. [5] Have this mind among yourselves,
which is yours in Christ Jesus, [6] who, though he was in the form
of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, [7]
but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in
the likeness of men.

He pays our ransom and bears our wrath

2 Corinthians 5

[21] For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that
in him we might become the righteousness of God. (ESV)

John 10

17 For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that
I may take it up again. 18 zNo one takes it from me, but I lay it down
of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority
to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.”
