About

Highland Kids is an exciting place for kids (Kindergarten - 5th Grade) to come and learn about God. Our goal is to give children many opportunities to explore God’s Word so that they may see God and know His plan and purpose for their lives. Whether through creative and meaningful lessons each Sunday morning in Kids Connection or our discipleship program on Wednesday nights at Kids Foundation, we desire to come alongside parents to teach the truth found in the Bible.

Everything we do is designed to help children build relationships with their peers and leaders, but most importantly, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We provide many opportunities for these relationships to develop through Sunday Morning programs, Wednesday night discipleship, camps, and special events. We encourage every child to be involved in all of these activities.

Sunday mornings

Kids Connection

We believe families should worship together at one of the Gathering times, which meets in the Life Center. Before or after the Gathering, kids will come together for Kids Connection for a learning time each Sunday morning on the 3rd floor at 8:40 or 10 am.

Kids Connection (K-5th Grade)

We meet on Sunday mornings in the Kid’s Hall, located on the 3rd floor of the Education Building. At Kid's Connection, we use "The Gospel Project" curriculum to teach how the Gospel of Jesus Christ weaves through every story in the Bible. This curriculum is a unique, three-year program that helps churches and families ground children in the Gospel story from Genesis to Revelation. Kids are taught the Gospel at each age level through age-appropriate illustrations, activities, coloring pages, object lessons, and scripture memorization. Weekly family-friendly devotionals and take-home pages are available for you to use at home.

Policy & Procedures

We provide a physically and emotionally safe environment for all children and families. One way we do this is through our electronic check-in system, which is used on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. Check-in stations enable parents to quickly and easily check their children in and give our staff a way to contact them, if necessary. K-5th grade students must be checked in and picked up by an approved adult. A guardian receipt will be printed out at the time of check-in, which is required to pick up your child from class.

We also require our leaders to undergo a rigorous screening process before they can serve in Highland Kids. If you are interested in becoming a Highland Kids Leader, please contact Emily Eagle.

Wednesday Nights

What is Kids Foundation?

At Kids Foundation, we equip kids with the Truth, empowering them to defend their faith as set-apart followers of Jesus. We will partner with families to lay a strong foundation through Scripture, worship, and discipleship in fun and engaging ways.

Fall Semester Ends November 20

Kids Foundation meets on Wednesday nights (August - April) at Highland from 6:30-8 pm. Kids Foundation is open to kids from birth to the fifth grade. Each age group will participate in large group teaching time, small group discipleship, worship, and games. There is a $10 cost for materials with scholarships available.
