Highland Kids is a fun and engaging ministry for children in Kindergarten–5th Grade. Our mission is to help kids explore God’s Word so they can see who He is and discover His plan and purpose for their lives.
On Sunday mornings in Kids Connection and Wednesday nights at Kids Foundation, kids experience creative lessons, meaningful discipleship, and caring relationships. We partner with parents to teach the truth of Scripture and point every child to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Throughout the year, children also have opportunities to grow in faith and community through camps, special events, and weekly programs. Our desire is for every child to build lasting friendships with peers, encouraging leaders, and most importantly, with Jesus.

We encourage families to worship together during one of our Gatherings in the Life Center. While parents attend an ABF, kids can join us for Kids Connection—a fun and engaging Bible learning time on the 3rd floor at 8:40 or 10:00 am only each Sunday morning.
On Sunday mornings, we meet in the Kids Hall on the 3rd floor of the Education Building for Kids Connection. We use The Gospel Project curriculum, which shows how the good news of Jesus Christ is woven through every story in the Bible. This three-year program walks children from Genesis to Revelation, helping them see God’s big story and their place in it.
At every age level, kids learn through engaging activities—like illustrations, games, object lessons, coloring, and scripture memory. Families also receive weekly devotionals and take-home pages to continue the conversation at home.
We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for every child and family. To help us do this, we use an electronic check-in system on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. This system allows parents to quickly check in their children and ensures our team can contact you if needed. For safety, all K–5th grade students must be checked in and picked up by an approved adult. A guardian receipt is printed at check-in and is required for pick-up.
All Highland Kids leaders complete a thorough screening process before serving. If you’re interested in becoming a Highland Kids leader, please contact Emily Eagle.
At Kids Foundation, we help children grow in the Truth, equipping them to live as devoted followers of Jesus and confidently defend their faith. We partner with families to build a strong foundation through Scripture, worship, and discipleship—presented in fun and engaging ways.
Kids Foundation meets Wednesday evenings from 6:30–8:00 PM at Highland, running September through April. Children ages 3 through fifth grade are welcome to join, and registration is required for all children in this age range.
Each week includes large group teaching, small group discipleship, worship, and games designed for each age group. There is a $10 materials fee per child, with scholarships available.
Nursery care is available for children under 3 (parents must remain on campus), and no pre-registration is needed for nursery.
We need people who love the Lord and want to share the Truth with children. Volunteers must be covenant members of Highland, complete an application and interview, and submit to a background check. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Emily Eagle at .
Serving in Highland Kids is an incredible way to invest in the next generation and help children discover who God is and how much He loves them. We’re passionate about partnering with leaders who want to serve with joy and point kids to Jesus.
