Highland Music is the song writing and equipping arm of Highland Baptist Church. Our strategy is for our local expression of Highland Music to support a global equipping ministry, particularly in countries that do not otherwise have the means to be trained and equipped. Highland Music Conferences take place approximately every two years and this site is dedicated to providing continued equipping in worship and pastoral ministry.
Highland Music took a team of 13 to Kaduna, Nigeria for the Shabach Conference, partnering with ECWA Blue Roof and Pastor Nehemiah Maji in June of 2018. Over the course of 4 days over 1,200 Pastors, Worship Leaders, Musicians, and Production Teams from across Nigeria were trained and equipped for church ministry. The ministry of Shabach 2018 continues to reap a harvest in Nigeria.
Highland Music partnered with Restoration Gateway in Northern Uganda to host a training conference in June 2021. This conference was originally slated for June 2020, but was moved back due to the global pandemic. With a nationwide quarantine going into place only hours before leaving the States, the trip looked much different than they originally planned. Pastors, Worship Leaders, and Musicians from the district that RG is located in were able to participate, as well as some of the people living on RG's campus. Over the course of our 5-day conference, they were trained and equipped in church ministry, preaching, worship leading, musicianship, doctrine and more.
