Purpose of WORTH
To equip, encourage and empower women to glorify God in all of life through exalting Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 3:4 “Instead, it should be that your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.”
WORTH encourages women of all ages to join in with the Body of Christ each Sunday morning for our Family Worship Gatherings in the Life Center. It is important that we participate in, belong, and contribute to the big picture of what God is doing at Highland.
WORTH gives women of all ages opportunities for growth through our Thursday night Bible study. Each week during the fall and spring semesters we meet at 6:30pm for a time of fellowship, teaching, and small group discussion. It is our desire to see women of the church connected to the Word and to one another for the good of the church and glory of God.
Women gather each Saturday night at 8pm in Highland’s Life Center to pray for one another and to pray for our church. This is a great time of coming together to serve the church family through prayer. WORTH ministry also prepares meals for those in our church who are not connected to a small group but are in need of encouragement.
Contact WORTH@highlandbc.org for more information in serving by preparing meals.
Lastly, WORTH encourages women to participate in an outreach to the neighborhood around Highland, which includes the WIN program, HOPE Ministries, and the outreach to Dean Highland Elementary. To learn more about these opportunities click here.
