The Senior Adult Ministry at Highland is a group made up of vibrant people who fully believe that God is not finished with them yet! Senior Adults are an important part of the Body of Christ, and their wisdom and faithfulness keep a fire going for the next generation of worshippers. Highland loves Senior Adults!
Senior Adults gather for worship each Sunday morning in the Life Center. Our Summer Gatherings are at 8:40am and 10am. Worship at Highland is multi-generational, so you will have the opportunity to worship with friends and families of all ages, backgrounds, demographics, and cultures.
We encourage every Senior Adult to be part of an Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF). For Sundays during Summer months, we have a combined adult ABF in the Chapel at 10am. In mid-August, we will return to three Gatherings and three times for ABFs to meet.
We also encourage Seniors to be involved in a connection group. Connection Groups are designed to promote community, prayer, and study of the Word of God. To find out more about ABF Classes and Connection Groups, go here.
Many Senior Adults participate in ministry by visiting the sick, widows, shut-ins and those in nursing homes. We strive to bring encouragement and the love of God to those we visit. There are many opportunities for our Senior Adults to teach in the preschool and children’s areas, to serve on the Welcome Team, to be involved in prayer, or to serve in other capacities. God loves to use Senior Adults for His glory!
