The Senior Adult Ministry at Highland is a group made up of vibrant people who fully believe that God is not finished with them yet! Senior Adults are an important part of the Body of Christ, and their wisdom and faithfulness are a tremendous blessing for the next generation of worshippers.
Senior Adults gather for worship each Sunday morning in the Life Center at 8:40, 10, and 11:20am. Worship at Highland is multi-generational, so we all have the opportunity to worship with friends and families of all ages, backgrounds, demographics, and cultures.
We encourage every Senior Adult to be part of an Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF). Each Sunday, a variety of ABF classes are offered at 8:40, 10, and 11:20am. We also encourage involvement in an evening Connection Group (CG). Connection Groups are designed to promote fellowship, prayer, and committed relationships. Many Senior Adults participate in ministry by visiting the sick, shut-ins, and those in nursing homes. They bring encouragement and comfort by their visits. There are many opportunities for our Senior Adults to teach in the preschool and children’s areas, to mentor at Dean Highland Elementary, to serve on the Welcome Team, and to be involved with our prayer teams. God wants us all to live on mission. He has a destiny for our older family members that will bring Him glory!
