From the creation of the Church in Acts Chapter 2, believers have gathered together with other believers. We believe that Gathering together is an important directive for the local church, and is the first step in our church direction of “Gathering, Growing, and Going for the Glory of God.” Hebrews 10:25 serves as a reminder to believers, “We should not stop gathering together with other believers, as some of you are doing. Instead, we must continue to encourage each other even more as we see the day of the Lord coming.”
At Highland, this summer we have two identical Worship Gatherings on Sunday mornings at 8:40 and 10am located in the Life Center. We have given the name Worship Gatherings to our services, because throughout the week, we believe that our church should scatter around Waco and the surrounding cities, serving our communities, meeting together in small groups, and acting as light in dark places. But on Sunday mornings, we come back together to GATHER as one unified people, to exalt and lift up the name of Jesus, and to celebrate together through singing, friendships, preaching, bible study and more, what the Lord is doing in His Kingdom.
We would love to have you Worship with us at either of our Worship Gatherings each week!
