The Senior Adult Ministry at Highland is a group made up of vibrant people who fully believe that God is not finished with them yet! Senior Adults are an important part of the Body of Christ, and their wisdom and faithfulness keep a fire going for the next generation of worshippers. Highland loves Senior Adults!
Senior Adults gather for worship each Sunday morning in the Life Center. Our weekly Gatherings meet at 8:40am, 10am, and 11:20am. Worship at Highland is multi-generational, so you will have the opportunity to worship with friends and families of all ages, backgrounds, demographics, and cultures.
We encourage every Senior Adult to be part of an Adult Bible Fellowship, or ABF for short. Each Sunday, ABF classes are offered at 8:40am, 10am, and 11:20am, and are available to anyone and everyone.
We also encourage Seniors to be involved in a connection group. Connection Groups are designed to promote community, prayer, and study of the Word of God. To find out more about ABF Classes and Connection Groups, go here.
Many Senior Adults participate in ministry by visiting the sick, widows, shut-ins and those in nursing homes. We strive to visit each person to bring encouragement and good cheer. There are many opportunities for our Senior Adults to teach in the preschool and children’s areas, to serve on the Welcome Team, and to be involved with many of our prayer teams. God loves to use Senior Adults for His glory!
