Adult Equipping Classes Fall 2018
Adult equipping classes are provided as an opportunity to grow in an understanding of the nature and character of God and the application of the scriptures. They cover a range of topics, so there is something for everyone.
FAM, 6:45-8pm, Room B24. Sept. 12 - Dec. 12
The Foster Adopt Ministry (FAM) is a group of people who are impacted by, or interested in, foster care or adoption who GATHER together weekly to GROW in maturity of God’s vision for the orphan so that they can GO into our communities to be used as vessels for God’s work.
Financial Peace University, 6-8pm, White House Parlor. Sept. 5 -Nov. 14 Led by Andrew & Shelly Stripling. FPU teaches you God's ways of handling money. Through videos and discussions, FPU presents Biblical, practical steps to get to where you've hoped you could be. Cost for course materials is $99.
Divorce Care, 6-8pm, Maple Annex Sept. 12 -Dec 12 , Led by Denise Ray & Doug Mai. This is a caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences, looking to God for His grace and hope and leaning on prayer and scriptures for guidance and comfort.
Divorce Care for Kids, Maple Annex 6-8pm, Sept. 12 - Dec. 12. Led by Heather Penna. DC4K is a caring support group to help your children, 5-12 years of age, heal from the pain caused by a separation or divorce.
Learning to Lead, 6:45-8pm, Chapel: Room C1, Sept. 12 – Oct. 31 Led by John Durham. Whether you are leading a small group, an organization, your family, a church, or simply want to learn some Biblical leadership principles for future leadership opportunities – this class will walk through the needed traits of a leader according to Scripture.
Picture Jesus Evangelism, 6:45-8pm, Room B-20, Sept. 12 - Nov 14 Led by James Pool, Would you like to be more adequately prepared to share the gospel or find the motivation to do so? This 10-week course is designed to motivate and equip adult and college-aged Christians in sharing Jesus with their neighbors. It also provides tools for helping parents share the gospel with their children. The cost for materials is $20 per individual/couple and $15 for college students.
Men's Bible Study, 6:45-8pm, Chapel, Sept. 5-Nov.14 led by Matt Quade This is an eleven-week in-depth study of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John. Each participant will complete the studybefore the meeting time. During the meeting, the week’s passage will be discussed in small groups and one person will close with additional teaching on the passage and application points. Men's Conquer Series, 6:45-8pm, Chapel: Room C2, Sept. 12 – Nov. 14 Led by Mike Smith, Learn to walk in freedom from the common struggles men share. This 10 week series gives practical tools to war against temptation and take hold of the freedom that is offered in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Cost of Materials is $20.
Estudio de la Biblia Española, 6:45-8pm. Sala de 216, Sept. 5 - Dec. 12 de Abr Dirigido por Rosy Ramos. Ven y ser alentados en la Palabra de Dios y construir amistades y conexiones. Esta clase es para los que hablan español como su idioma principal.
