Adult Equipping Classes Fall 2017

Starting Wednesdays in September

Adult equipping classes are provided as an opportunity to grow in an understanding of the nature and character of God and the application of the scriptures. They cover a range of topics, so there is something for everyone. 

Grace Based Parenting, 6:45-8pm, Room B24.  Sept. 13 - Nov. 15 Led by Peter & Melissa Murrell, Brad & Shirley Brown. Join us for this video and discussion-driven study, focused on "aiming your child at true greatness"  through grace-based parenting.  This class is applicable for parents and grandparents with children of all ages in the home.  

Biblical Strategies for Purity, 6:45-8pm, Room C1 (across from the Chapel), Sept. 13 – Nov. 1  Led by Mark Wible, John Durham Kit Riehl and Dale Pahmiyer. A class for men who want strategies and accountability in attaining sexual integrity. Whether there is a struggle in your own life with purity, pornography or temptation or you are walking with a friend, son or roommate through that battle this class is for men who desire Christ-centered, Biblically-based steps to holiness and victory.

Financial Peace University, 6-8pm, White House Parlor. Sept. 6-Nov. 15  Led by Andrew & Shelly Stripling. FPU teaches you God's ways of handling money. Through videos and discussions, FPU presents Biblical, practical steps to get to where you've hoped you could be.  Cost for course materials is $99.

Divorce Care, 6-8pmRoom C-2 Sept. 6-Dec 13 ,  Led by Denise Ray & Doug Mai. This is a caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences, looking to God for His grace and hope and leaning on prayer and scriptures for guidance and comfort.

Divorce Care for Kids, Maple Annex 6:00-8pm, Sept. 6 - Dec. 13. Led by Rachel Cole.  a caring support group to help your children, 5-12 years of age, heal from the pain caused by a separation or divorce.

The Blessed Life, 6:30-8pm, Chapel Sept. 13 – Nov. 1 Led by Reuven & Janet Ross. The first discipleship material Jesus taught His men is called the Sermon on the Mount and found in Matthew 5-7. It’s still the best discipleship material today! Jesus began with eight beatitudes that disciples are to embrace and incorporate into their lives.  In this class, we will study these attitudes and learn how to live them. 

The Story of the Bible, 6:45-8pm, Room B-20, Sept. 13 - Nov 1 Led by Travis Blake, Jeremy Daniel, John David, Jen Durham, and Andrea Turpin,. Join us as we explore the story the Bible tells from the beginning of all things to the ushering in of the kingdom.

Estudio de la Biblia Española, 6:30-8pm. Sala de 216, Sept. 6  de Abr Dirigido por Rosy Ramos. Ven y ser alentados en la Palabra de Dios y construir amistades y conexiones. Esta clase es para los que hablan español como su idioma principal.
